Turn climate anxiety into effective climate action.
Learn about the power of our individual choices in building a more sustainable world.
Each course is worth 2 ECTS credits.
The MOOC platform works anytime on mobile and desktop devices.
There is no charge for participating in LUT MOOC courses.
Our first MOOC focusses on solutions in the transport sector with the goals of mitigating climate change, making a transition towards sustainable energy systems, and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Our second MOOC investigates Power to X processes, which will assist in developing energy systems that meet the needs of future generations, providing sustainable fuels and industrial materials, and ensuring that a growing global population has sufficient food and water.
Our third MOOC addresses issues related to the sustainable design and production of a wide range of goods and services that we need for a safe and comfortable existence. The things we buy have a story to tell us, one that we can control from beginning to end.
I was really excited to continue and go from one topic to another. You can make decisions for climate neutrality with your own actions and you need to think in advance of the outcomes of what you do.

The courses will be in English.
Each of the courses can be viewed on a variety of devices, but smaller screens in a vertical orientation will sometimes encounter problems with text and image margins. When this happens, just flip to a horizontal orientation and the issue will be solved.

After completing the course specific criteria for credits, your credits will be automatically registered to LUT’s Sisu system and to Opintopolku service.
The courses contain four sections, which all are going to be graded as pass / fail. Each section will have the final progress check, and by completing that, you will get the section passed.
You can enrol to the courses by clicking the green enrolment button on the beginning of this page. After the enrolment, you can access the courses via the same button or from the top-left menu.

We are a community where curious people inspire curious people. The curious dive deep into their passion, and develop their thinking daily. Without curiosity, we cannot change the world. A curious person experiments, fails, and succeeds faster than
We address issues that matter to the world and that others may consider impossible to solve. Our campuses are located in Lappeenranta and Lahti, but our state of mind can be achieved anywhere.
